Respect Others
Everybody is different. They hold various views, opinions, and beliefs, and it may occur that you find yourself in disagreement with another member's philosophy. We do not require you to accept any concepts against your will, but we do expect you to tolerate others as they will tolerate you. If a member is offending you, please contact a staff member.
Activity
We ask you to try to be regularly active. Disappearing for lengthy periods of time after taking up a major character will easily disturb and disrupt the flow of the plot. If you know that you will have a hard time staying active, don't take responsibility of a major character.
Rating
We do not have limitations to what you can write about, so yes, violence, swearing and mature topics are allowed here. However, do not abuse this authority to make conversations posts unnecessarily vulgar or over-the-top. If a thread contains sexual or unusually violent content, please mark it so in the topic title.
Accounts
You are allowed two canon characters and as many original characters as you like. Please create a new account for each new character you would like. If you would like a third canon character, contact a member of staff.
Image Sizes
Keep image sizes to an average. Oversized images will stretch out the board and will make it difficult for other members to read. If any of your images make it aesthetically uncomfortable for the site, a staff member will ask you to have it removed or resized.
Signatures
Always have a link to your biography and any other important information in your signature for referencing purposes. It makes things a whole lot easier for others, especially staff, to get things going when we have easy access to the important information of your respective character.
The Staff
Listen to the staff if they ask you to do something. We try to do what's beneficial for this community, and we consider as a group before making any decisions of authority. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, speak to that person and/or another staff member about the problem and we will work together to resolve the issue.
Common Sense
The rules aren't going to go into every single detail about every single possible situation that may occur in the future. Use common sense to determine if your actions will be appropriate for the site and toward others, and always think about the consequences that will follow.
Have Fun!
This game is created for recreational purposes. Try not to hold grudges against each other and remember that we're all here to enjoy.
Leaving for a while?
If you're planning to be away for a while, let the people you are in a thread with know this, I know sometimes you may not have control over this and real life issues take precedence but if you can pre-warn us we would be grateful.
Threads
We have no specific cap on the amount of threads you can be in, but don't exploit this. Maintain a reasonable amount of threads. We'd recommend about three-five threads per member at one time, anymore is pushing it.
Quality over Quantity
It isn't about how long what your posting is, it's all down to the quality of it. Do not feel you have to match someone's post in length, this is entirely down to you. If you feel you can say what you wanted to say in 3 paragraphs when the other person has wrote 20, by all means write 3 paragraphs.
No Godmodding
We hold a strictly no godmodding policy. You cannot determine anybody's outcome within this roleplay. This being said, deaths do occur. As you may well know, Westeros is a dangerous place, especially in war, if you and another member work out a plot where one of you dies then you may have control of their character so long as both parties agree.
** Duels are allowed and deaths - as long as both parties accept before participating the potential outcome **
No Meta-gaming
At no point is exploting external knowledge of the situation allowed within this game. Just because you know the somebody else is round the corner, doesn't mean your character knows. Do not exploit factors you know outside of the roleplay. Stick to in-character knowledge only! This being said, few characters may have informers and may learn this knowledge through them but only things that happen in the public domain.
Characters
Now we know some of you may wish to play as people such as Robb Stark and other who are either still not of age or maybe not even born, we will make certain exceptions. Please PM me with the character you would like and I will tell you if you can have him or not.
Disclaimer
This is a mature site, as are George RR Martins books. To take out the sex, violence, murder, rape and everything else would take the soul out of Game Of Thrones, by creating an account you agree that you are mature enough to handle these topics and in no way will hold us responsible for anything you may or may not see.
